Author Guidelines

Editorial Procedures

The Journal of Bisnis, Jasa dan Keuangan, and Finance adopts a double-blind peer review process (authors are anonymous to reviewers, and reviewers are anonymous to authors). Each manuscript is reviewed by one member of the Editorial Board and two additional reviewers. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editors decide whether the manuscript will be accepted for publication. Specific revisions may be requested. Authors of accepted papers may be required to undertake particular revisions. For rejected manuscripts, constructive suggestions may be provided to assist authors in improving their work for potential publication elsewhere. Copies of the reviewers’ reports will be sent to the corresponding author.

Manuscript Submission

Submission of a manuscript implies that:
(1) the work has not been previously published;
(2) the work is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;
(3) the publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities—either implicitly or explicitly—at the institution where the work was conducted.

The publisher will not be held legally responsible for any claims for compensation.

Permissions: Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text that have been previously published must obtain permission from the copyright holder for both print and online formats and provide proof of such permission upon submission. Any material submitted without this proof will be assumed to originate from the authors.

Online Submission

Authors must complete the submission form as thoroughly as possible; fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. After completing all required fields, authors should click the “Register” button to proceed. Authors will then be directed to the online submission interface, where they must click “New Submission.” In the “Start” section, click “Click Here” to begin the five-step submission process:

Step 1 – Start Submission:
Select the appropriate journal section: Original Research Article, Review Article, or Short Communication. Authors must also check the submission checklist.

Step 2 – Upload Submission:
Upload the manuscript file by clicking “Browse,” selecting the document, and clicking “Upload.”

Step 3 – Enter Metadata:
Provide detailed author metadata, including designation of the corresponding author. Enter the manuscript title, abstract, and keywords by copying and pasting into the text box.

Step 4 – Upload Supplementary Files:
Upload additional files, including a Plagiarism Checker Proof (PDF) and Registration Form (PDF).

Step 5 – Confirm Submission:
Review the uploaded manuscript carefully. Click “Finish Submission” once the document is correct. The corresponding author will receive an email confirmation and may track the submission status via the journal website.

After submission, authors will receive a confirmation email and can monitor the progress of their manuscript through the editorial process via the online system.

Authors must ensure that all relevant and editable source files are provided. Failure to do so may result in delays during the review and production process.

Manuscript Template

Manuscripts must follow the author guidelines using the MS Word template (DOWNLOAD ARTICLE TEMPLATE HERE).

Title Page

The title page must include:

  • Author names

  • A concise and informative title (maximum 15 words)

  • Author affiliations (institution, department, city, state, country)

  • Clear indication and active email addresses of all authors

If address information is included in the affiliation, it will be published.

Abstract

The abstract must be written in both English (italicized) and Indonesian (non-italicized, Book Antiqua 12 pt). It should include four essential elements: research problem, methodology, findings, and conclusion. The abstract should not exceed 200 words.

Keywords: separated by semicolons.

INTRODUCTION

The introduction should clearly present the background, research objectives, literature review, methodology, and a brief overview of the results at the end. Authors must demonstrate the novelty of their study as an extension of limitations in previous research. Relevant prior studies must be cited to highlight the research gap.

Formatting: Book Antiqua 12 pt, single spacing, justified text, first-line indent 1 cm. Foreign terms should be italicized. Citations should use reference management software such as Mendeley. The introduction typically spans 2–3 pages.

RESEARCH METHODS

This section explains the analytical methods used (e.g., simple regression, logit, probit, DiD, SEM). Authors must describe how the methods address the research objectives, including data sources, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques.

Formatting follows the same rules as the Introduction. This section typically spans 1–2 pages.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This section presents descriptive statistics, findings, and comparisons with previous studies. Analysis should be written narratively and supported by logical arguments and relevant interpretations, not merely statistical outputs. Tables, figures, and graphs may be used where appropriate.

Subsections are allowed if necessary.

Formatting: Book Antiqua 12 pt, single spacing, justified text, first-line indent 1 cm.

Tables:

  • Title placed above the table (Book Antiqua bold 10 pt, centered)

  • Minimum font size 8 pt

  • Only horizontal lines allowed (no vertical lines)

Figures:

  • Title placed below the figure (Book Antiqua bold 10 pt, centered)

  • Black and white, PNG format

  • Maximum length 8 cm, width proportional

CONCLUSION

The conclusion must address the research objectives and/or hypotheses. It should summarize key findings rather than repeat the discussion. Future research directions may also be included. The conclusion must be written in paragraph form.

REFERENCES

Only cited works should be included. Avoid excessive self-citation. Ensure accuracy of all references (author names, volume, issue, year). Use APA 7th edition style and reference management tools such as Mendeley.

At least 80% of references must be from primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years. References must be listed alphabetically and formatted using a hanging indent of 1 cm.
