Abstract

Prestasi olahraga yang optimal dalam kompetisi multi-event seperti Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) sangat bergantung pada efektivitas proses pemulihan (recovery) atlet. Atlet bela diri, khususnya, menghadapi tuntutan fisik dan mental yang tinggi, meningkatkan risiko kelelahan ekstrem dan cedera. P enelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan recovery atlet bela diri Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) pada PON Kudus Jawa Tengah melalui penerapan sport massage. Program ini dilaksanakan pada 80 atlet bela diri NTB selama periode PON (9-26 Oktober 2025), dengan total 285 sesi sport massage yang diberikan sebagai post-event atau inter-event massage. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh 73 atlet, observasi langsung, dan wawancara dengan atlet serta pelatih. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan respons positif yang signifikan: 91,8% atlet melaporkan penurunan kelelahan otot, 88,9% merasakan pengurangan nyeri otot (DOMS), 97,3% mengalami peningkatan relaksasi, dan 87,7% merasa lebih siap secara fisik untuk kompetisi berikutnya. Tingkat kepuasan terhadap layanan sport massage mencapai 95,9%. Analisis kualitatif memperkuat temuan ini, menyoroti pemulihan fisik yang cepat, dampak psikologis positif, peningkatan kualitas tidur, serta dukungan terhadap performa dan pencegahan cedera. Disimpulkan bahwa penerapan sport massage terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalkan recovery atlet bela diri NTB, memberikan manfaat fisik dan psikologis yang signifikan, serta sangat diterima oleh atlet.
